On Monday, June 10, 2024, Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives responded to the area of 500 block of Roanoke Drive about shots fired and a shooting. Deputies arrived on scene and found a victim with a gunshot wound, and provided care until EMS arrived. That victim was later airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill. A second victim was located at the 600 block of Broad Drive, he was taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Both victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
