On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at approximately 13:07 hrs., Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 3200 Block of Red Springs Road, Raeford, North Carolina, in reference to a shooting. When Deputies arrived on the scene, they located a male victim in the backseat of a vehicle, with a female driver. The victim had a gunshot wound to his upper left leg. Deputies applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg and began gathering information. Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported victim to the hospital. Detectives arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim, before hospital transport.
During the initial investigation, Detectives were able to discover that the shooting occurred at the 1700 Block of Balfour Road, Red Springs, North Carolina. The investigation is still ongoing.
