Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Press Release:
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on Monday, June 19, 2023, Hoke County Probation conducted a warrantless search at a registered sexual offender’s residence in the 700 block of Sanders Road. Probation Officers conducted a search on devices of the suspect and located child sexual abuse material. Hoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. The suspect was taken into custody for
violation of release orders for prior charges by Probation.
Hoke County Detectives and State Bureau of Investigations conducted the investigation into the child sexual abuse material on the suspects devices. Based on content located, the suspect was charged with 29 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
On Friday, December 22, 2023, Hoke County Probation and Hoke County Sheriff’s Office met with the suspect at the Probation Office. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was given a secured bond of $200,000.00. Investigation is on-going.
