[ARCHIVED] PRESS RELEASE: Special Operations Narcotic Search Warrant

Special Operations Narcotic Search Warrant Press Release:

On September 29, 2023 Detectives with Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations conducted a Narcotic Search Warrant at 521 Mt. Zion Road Maxton, NC. Hoke County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team and Scotland County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team served the search warrant and located the primary suspect, Ethan Wayne Oxendine, who was placed under arrest and Kyla Marie Hunt who was arrested for five outstanding warrants unrelated to the search warrant. 
During a search of the residence and the surrounding property, Detectives located over half a pound of marijuana, over $2400.00 in cash, several items of paraphernalia including baggies and scales, and a 9mm firearm that was loaded.
During the course of the investigation, Detectives learned that Ethan Wayne Oxendine was on active probation for previous drug offenses and was a convicted felon. Ethan Wayne Oxendine was transported to the Hoke County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of firearm by convicted felon, Possession with intent to dell/deliver marijuana, Possession marijuana paraphernalia, and maintain a dwelling for keeping/selling controlled substances. Ethan Wayne Oxendine was held on a $50,000.00 secured bond.
