The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on January 16, 2025 the Narcotic/Vice Suppression Unit, served a narcotic related search warrant in the 500 block of Haire Road Raeford, North Carolina. The search warrant was obtained as a result of a narcotic investigation involving Ron Dell King, which began in 2024. Ron Dell King was observed leaving the residence prior to the search warrant being served and was stopped by the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team. After a brief altercation with deputies Mr. King was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle resulted in a handgun being located. The Hoke County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team and Narcotic/Vice Suppression Unit served the search warrant and secured the residence. A search of the residence resulted in multiple firearms including two 12-gauge shotguns, one with a pistol grip, and a revolver being located. Detectives also located trafficking amounts of oxycodone, 30 dosage units of tramadol, Suboxone, and bulk US currency. Mr. King was arrested and taken to the Hoke County Jail where he was charged with trafficking schedule II-controlled substance, possess with intent to sell/deliver schedule IV-controlled substance, maintain a dwelling for selling controlled substances, simple possession of schedule III-controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana, and resist/delay/obstruct public officer. Mr. King was held on a $25,000.00 secured bond.
