The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on July 25, 2024, that the Narcotics/Vice Suppression Unit conducted a traffic stop, as part of an active narcotics investigation. During the traffic, stop the driver was identified as Felicia Nicole Kershaw. While speaking with Ms. Kershaw the odor of burnt marijuana was omitting from the vehicle. Ms. Kershaw and a front passenger were asked to step out of the vehicle so that a probable cause search of the vehicle could be conducted.
During the search, narcotics detectives located a Ruger revolver under the driver's seat. In the purse belonging to Ms. Kershaw, detectives located US currency, suspected Percocet, Flexeril, and Oxycodone. Ms. Kershaw was placed under arrest and transported to the Hoke County Jail. At the jail, Ms. Kershaw was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule-II controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon. Ms. Kershaw went before the magistrate and received a $5,000.00 unsecured bond.
