On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at approximately 07:15 P.M., Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Emergency Medical Services responded to the 5200 Block of Fayetteville Road, Raeford, North Carolina, about an unknown trouble call for service. When Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene, a female victim was found bleeding profusely and covered in scratches. Hoke County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim briefly before she was transported to a local hospital for further treatment, her injuries are not life-threatening. While speaking with the first victim, a second female victim came forward, with no injuries, and was able to talk with Deputies. It was determined that the incident appeared to be an assault and an attempted robbery. Detectives were contacted and responded to the hospital to speak with the victim. The Investigation is still ongoing.
