I would like to take this time to introduce myself to Hoke and the surrounding Communities. I have been added to the Hoke County Health Department, as a full-time mental health therapist. What does that mean? It means that Mental Health support is a phone call away. Sometimes it’s difficult to navigate through life without professional and nonjudgmental support and that’s ok. Hoke County Health Department has opened the door for this much needed service to be right at your fingertips. In fact, it’s just a phone call away.

Sharing your life with others and talking about your struggles could seem difficult; however, talking through hard times can be one of the most empowering first steps you can make toward healing and feeling free to move forward. If you are experiencing or know someone who is experiencing Mental Health symptoms, such as depression, bipolar, anxiety, as well as relational or marital issues, please make the call and begin the healing process. I also work with children diagnosed with ADHD, oppositional defiance, conduct disorder and much more. Whatever your hardship, traumatic experience, issues, or difficulty you are having, you can overcome it. It would be my pleasure to work with you, to first complete a comprehensive mental health assessment, develop an individualized treatment plan and begin working with you to address your trepidations. I promise to value your thoughts and self-determination and will gladly give an ear to support you when needed.

I specialize in working with all age groups, couples and families who are coping with debilitating stressors, marital issues and relationship problems. My approach is client centered and the methodologies I use are, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, DBT and Solution-Focused.

I am competent in Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, Diagnostic Assessments, Bio- psychosocial Assessments, Screenings, and diagnostic instruments, interviews, psychosocial assessments, Psychotherapy and psychosocial counseling. I can establish a baseline, assist you with your overall development and making relevant decisions to move you forward and out of feeling overwhelmed, stuck, depressed, or anxious. I provide Individual, child/adolescent, Family/Marital and Group Counseling, for all ages of those who are in need of mental health services. I am also certified in domestic violence and anger management.

One thing is for sure, I love what I do and am passionate about my work. I pride myself in being nonjudgmental and a great listener. I am confident that when we focus on the identified goal and diligently work together, we can induce change. I look forward to working with you.
