The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on September 4, 2025, members of the Narcotic/Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU), Special Operations, and Criminal Investigations Division (CID) served a search warrant in the 600 block of Sunset Lake Road Parkton North Carolina with the North Carolina SBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and US Postal Inspectors. The Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team and NVSU made entry and cleared the residence, as well as, all buildings on the curtilage. In total, 12 subjects were initially detained so that the search of the premises could occur.
During the search of the property detectives located 23 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 11 grams of suspected fentanyl, 29 grams of THC resin, 7.5 grams of marijuana and 6 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Detectives also seized six firearms, assorted items of drug paraphernalia, and $496 in US currency. A stolen golf cart out of Robeson County was also located at the rear of the property. NVSU detectives arrested and charged Ms. Candice Barnhill, Mr. Andre Grayman, Ms.Latosha Harris, and Mr.Thomas Roman. A juvenile was also taken into custody and, after consulting with Juvenile Justice, was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center with a secured custody order for narcotic violations.
Ms. Candice Barnhill was arrested and charged with the possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule II-controlled substance (methamphetamine), maintain a dwelling for sell/delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Barnhill was held on a $50,000.00 secured bond at the Hoke County Detention Center. Mr.Andre Grayman was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule VI-controlled substance (THC), felony possession of a schedule I-controlled substance (psilocybin), maintain a dwelling for sell/delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Grayman was held at the Hoke County Detention Center on a $75,000 secured bond. Detectives with the CID of the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office later obtained an additional warrant on Mr. Grayman for the possession of stolen goods. Thomas Roman and Latosha Harris were arrested and charged with trafficking a schedule I-controlled substance (fentanyl), maintain a dwelling for the sell/delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. At the Hoke County Detention Center, both Mr. Roman and Ms. Harris were held on no bond due to being out on pre-trial release for pending charges. Ms. Harris was also served with an outstanding warrant for a probation violation which resulted in an additional, secured bond of $10,000. Ms. Danielle Hopkins and Mr. Rodney Williams were also arrested and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center. CID detectives obtained warrants for both Ms. Hopkins and Mr. Williams for child endangerment. Both subjects received a $3,000 secured bond and held at the Hoke County Detention Center. An outstanding arrest warrant was also served on Ms. Hopkins.
