Raeford, NC - The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on January 6, 2026, Detectives with the Narcotic Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU) arrested Mr. Shannon Michael Donell Locklear and Ms. Chyna Jade Locklear on drug and firearm charges.
Mr. Locklear had outstanding arrest warrants and the vehicle known to be operated by Mr. Locklear was seen at the corner store in the 7500 block of Red Springs Road. Special Operations deputies observed Mr. Locklear and Ms. Locklear exit the store and approached the subjects.
Mr. Locklear was verified as being wanted for outstanding warrants. Search incident to arrest, Mr. Locklear was found to be in possession of 48 grams of suspected methamphetamine which had been pre-packaged into individual dosage units for sell and delivery.
NVSU detectives arrived at the scene of the arrest and took over the investigation. An additional search of Mr. Locklear resulted in 83 grams of suspected fentanyl, suspected MDMA, suspected cocaine, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a small amount of marijuana and digital scales being located.
Ms. Locklear was also found to be in possession of suspected cocaine. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center where the outstanding arrest warrants were served on Mr. Locklear.
NVSU also charged Mr. Locklear with two counts of trafficking schedule I-controlled substance, two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possess with intent to sell/deliver schedule II-controlled substance, possess with intent to sell/deliver schedule I-controlled substance, possession of firearm by convicted felon (x2), carry concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Locklear was also charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine.
Mr. Locklear was held on no bond and Ms. Locklear was held on a $15,000.00 secured bond.
