The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on June 5, 2025, the Narcotic/Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU) along with the S.B.I. completed a long-term narcotic investigation which resulted in arrest warrants and a narcotic search warrant. The investigation began after receiving several complaints about Lynwood Lemond Monroe selling cocaine from his residence in the Twin Oaks Apartments complex. 

At the conclusion of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for Mr. Monroe, and a search warrant was obtained for his residence. During the service of the search warrant suspected crack cocaine, oxycodone, US currency, and assorted items of paraphernalia were located. Evidence of illegal sales/possession of alcohol was also located. Mr. Monroe was arrested and transported to the Hoke County jail. At the jail, Monroe was charged with three (3) counts of sell/deliver cocaine, PWIMSD cocaine, PWISD schedule II-controlled substance (oxycodone), four (4) counts of maintain a dwelling/place for the sell/delivery of controlled substances, and ABC law violations. Mr. Monroe received a $50,000 secured bond.
