The Hoke County Department of Social Services will begin taking applications for Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) on Monday, December 02, 2013. This year we are targeting the elderly population age 60 and above and disabled persons receiving services through the Division of Aging and Adult Services. We will only be taking applications for persons meeting these criteria from December 02, 2013 through January 31, 2014.

If funds remain, all others may apply beginning February 03, 2014. Eligibility is based on income, resources, citizenship or legal alien status and households that have a heating source. Eligible applicants will receive a one-time payment that will go directly to the vendor. Aged and disabled applicants that are unable to come into the office to apply can do a phone application.
