To qualify you must meet one of the following and own your home and meet income eligibility:
* Age 62+
* A Veteran
* Disabled
*Large family of 5 or more
* Have a child 6 < with a lead based hazard in the home
The Urgent repair program is funded through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency's trust fund. The urgent repair program is intended to assist those who are living in unsafe environments as well as to assist in handicap modifications.
Applications will be taken September 1- September 30, excluding weekends and holidays. You must contact the office to set up an appointment. Please bring all household income verification's including the 2025 benefit letters from SSI or Social Security along with a copy of the deed or title to the home.
