Hoke County Government Will Operate Normal Business Hours for Offices, Wednesday February 4, 2026 (Date of Post 2/3/2026)
I would like to inform you that all Hoke County departments will operate during normal business hours on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. However, please note that the Hoke Area Transportation department will begin operations at 10:00 AM and will not be providing out-of-county routes.
While many primary roads have improved, we want to remind everyone that some rural roads may still be icy and hazardous. Your safety is our priority, so please exercise caution when traveling.

Hoke County Government to Open 10:00 AM, Tuesday February 3, 2026 Winter Weather Impacts Still Remain (Date of Post 2/2/2026)
Hoke County departments will reopen on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with the exception of the Hoke Area Transportation department, which will remain closed.
While many primary roads have improved, rural roads remain icy and hazardous in some areas, extreme cold persists, continuing to pose risks for both employees and citizens. Our County Emergency Services team is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary through our official communication channels.

Notification of Hoke County Government Closure (Date of Post: 2/1/2026)
I am writing to inform you that Hoke County Government will be closed for all non-essential offices on Monday, February 2, 2026, due to the hazardous conditions left from the winter storm. Please rest assured that our Emergency Services team and staff will continue to monitor the conditions closely for the safety of our citizens and employees.
I will provide updates to the Board of Commissioners regarding recommendations for staff on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
