Our Mission
We are dedicated to providing safe and dependable transportation to the Hoke County Community.
Scheduling Appointments for Demand Response Rides
All reservations must be received no later than 48 hours before requested service. When scheduling a ride, please provide you name, address, phone number, date and time of your appointment and name/address of destination. Any passenger who uses a wheelchair or would like to use the wheelchair lift for assistance should inform us when scheduling for transportation. Passengers with appointments within Hoke County must be ready 1 1/2 hours prior to their appointment time (2 hours prior if appointment is before 10:00 a.m. until further notice). Passengers with appointments in other counties will be notified the day before their appointment with what time they should be ready. All out-of-town riders going to medical appointments must wait until all out-of-town appointments are completed before the driver will pick up or the return trip. Please schedule all out-of-county medical appointments between the appointment times listed below. Click here to sign up for non-Medicaid covered trips (see the Fares section below for pricing).
Cancellation requests should be no less than 24 hours before scheduled service. Failure to cancel transportation requests and failing to appear with result in a "no show".
Medicaid recipients must call Hoke County Department of Social Services at 910-878-4041 to schedule for medical transportation only (HATS cannot take Medicaid transportation appointments directly). If you receive Medicaid or Managed Care benefits, you must schedule all medical transportation through Medicaid or your benefits provider first. You will not be allowed to pay for medical transportation out of pocket unless denied by your benefits provider. Senior Citizens may call Senior Services at 910-875-8588 to check for availability for medical transportation.
